Investigators in Pasco County Florida are faced with the curious case of a suspect who apparently robbed the same bank twice. Michael Shearer is accused of robbing an area bank back on March 5. He was arrested that day.

According to information from an arrest report from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Shearer robbed the Wells Fargo bank near US 19. He was apparently later out of jail on bond. Strangely, investigations suggest that he did not wait long before selecting another target. Ironically, though, Shearer's next robbery was at the same bank.

Shearer was out on bond when he approached the same Wells Fargo bank on August 12. His face had been wrapped in surgical tape. According to reports he also had his right hand wrapped in surgical tape, and he was apparently wearing a neck brace. Shearer had khaki pants and a gray shirt on. An arrest report issues later also stated that he was wearing a baseball cap.

When he went into the bank, Shearer told a bank teller that he was going to kill her. He added that nothing would happen if she gave him money. Ultimately he was given $2,120.

After he fled the teller reported that he was the same man from the bank robbery in March. Witness testimony provided later to deputies suggested that the 39-year-old Shearer said he was going to rob the bank before hand. The individual providing the testimony told deputies that he didn't think Shearer was serious. Strangely, the witness also reported that he was there when Shearer stole the clothing he was wearing during the August robbery. Apparently he took it from a local thrift store without paying for it.

The witness also remarked that he went with the suspect to a thrift store when Shearer took the pair of pants he had, and said that he even watched Shearer wrap himself up with tape. Strangely the witness also claims that Shearer shared some of the money with him. Shearer was arrested on August 13 and charged with armed robbery.
